Parameter
minutes: The delay between the initial call and the second call. It is valued in the range
of 0 to 1000. By default, the minutes is 0.
Description
Using the x25 timer hold-vc command, you can enable the timer that prevents
additional calls to a destination. Using the undo x25 timer hold-vc command, you can
restore the default value for the timer.
Sending call requests to a wrong destination (which does not exist or is faulty) will
deteriorate the working efficiency of the router. The use of this function can avoid this
problem to some degree. If this parameter is set to 0, this is equal to disabling the
function. In addition, this function is effective to the locally originated calls only. That is,
this parameter is meaningless when the X.25 of the 3Com router works in switched
mode.
For related commands, see display interfaces.
Example
# Set the timer on the X.25 interface Serial0 to 5 minutes.
