Search: Make a selection from the pulldown or enter a name and click.
Monitor Maps > <campus> > <building> > <floor area>
Use MONITOR/Maps, click a Campus name in the Name column, left-click a building name on the
campus map, and left-click a floor area map to access this page.
This page assumes that you have already added OmniAccess AP Access Points to the selected map.
This page allows you to view the predicted RF coverage for a building floor area. The predicted RF
coverage includes significant information: Channel, Tx Power Level, Coverage Holes, OmniAccess AP
1200 or 1250 MAC Addresses, OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 Names, Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or
Appliance IP Addresses, OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 Utilization, OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 (Load,
Noise, Interference and Coverage) Profile Status, and Users connected to each OmniAccess AP 1200 or
1250.
AP Icons
If any APs have been added, icons of cross-hairs surrounded by a circle represent AP locations. The
colors of the circles (refer to
Each OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 contains two OmniAccess Radios.

When a single protocol is selected (that is, 802.11a or 802.11b/g) the entire icon
represents this condition.

When both protocols are selected (that is, 802.11a and 802.11b/g), the top half of the
circle represents the state of the 802.11a OmniAccess Radio and the bottom half of the
circle represents the 802.11b/g OmniAccess Radio.
Blinking OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 icons indicate that an interference, noise, coverage or
load Profile Failure Alarm is pending against the specific OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250.
Click the OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 icon to review information about the OmniAccess AP
1200 or 1250 performance. Refer to
If an OmniAccess Radio is disabled, a small "x" appears in the middle of the icon circle repre-
senting the OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250.

The map display is determined by the selection you make from the Protocol pulldown:
802.11a: The map is grayed in this display to indicate that the map displays only 802.11a. A
colored overlay appears on the map displaying the predicted RF coverage patterns for the
802.11a OmniAccess Radios. A Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) Color Lookup
appears at the top of the map indicating the signal strength from RED (-35 dBm) through DARK
