Monitor Calibrating Model <model> on Floor <building> > <floor>
Use Monitor/Maps, select RF Calibration Models, click a Not Yet Calibrated Model Name, select Add
Data Points, enter the Calibration Model parameters and click Next to access this page.
This page allows you to do a real-world calibration the RF characteristics of the floor area selected on
the Monitor Calibration Model > <model> > Start Calibrating
locations of the OmniAccess AP Access Points, a measurement grid, and suggested data points. To do
this calibration,
1.
An operator moves the ACS-equipped portable wireless workstation to each of the suggested
data point locations (or to any desired locations),
2.
left-clicks to mark each location on the floor area map, and
3.
clicks the Save button.
ACS then measures the signal strengths from the OmniAccess AP Access Points on the floor
area, and stores the data in the RF Calibration Model configuration.

The operator then repeats these steps for multiple locations on the map until the

On this map, there are three main features that you can turn on and off to make working on the map
easier:

Show Grid: Have ACS show or turn off the grid.
•
Show APs: Have ACS show or turn off the OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 locations.
•
Show Data Points: Have ACS show or turn off the suggested data point locations.
Command Buttons
•
Save: Capture the RF characteristics for the selected location while displaying the Please
wait. . . dialog. Then save the new RF Calibration Model parameters and continue with this
page.
•
Cancel
Select a command
•
Delete Points: Select this command and click GO to receive instructions on how to delete
selected data points from the RF Calibration Model configuration database.
