Strongest Access Point
Strongest Access Point
The strongest access point view displays the strongest AP at each map location. The displayed AP is not
necessarily the associated one, but typically the client device tries to associate with the AP that has the
strongest signal. The color for each access point can be chosen from the
Access Point
Properties.
The figure below shows visualizing the strongest access points per location. Specific color can be
defined for each AP.
Access Point Count
Access Point Count
The Access Point Count displays the number of access points at each location with respect to the
selected Minimum RSSI. The feature is useful for visualizing overlapping coverage areas, for example
to ensure "backup" coverage in case of an access point breakdown.
The figure below shows that the Access Point Count surface displays the number of overlapping access
points per location.
The number of access points can be seen in the bottom left corner of the map window, as well as in the
Legend Details.
