Signals Tab

Signals Tab
The Signals Tab allows you to view all WLAN signals in real-time. You can click the header columns to
sort the list by Channel, MAC address, Name, ESSID, Band, RSSI, Noise Level, SNR, and Last
Update Time (last time the entry was refreshed).
Note:
RSSI, weakest noise level, or highest SNR. Sorting by MAC, Name, or ESSID helps
finding unauthorized access points without a map.

Record Tab

Record Tab
The Record Tab shows the real-time access point RSSI as a RSSI-TIME diagram. Each curve describes
an access point RSSI, while its color describes the used channel. Selecting a specific AP from the list
displays just that AP.

Survey Properties

Survey properties can be accessed by double-clicking a survey or right-clicking and selecting Proper-
ties from the context menu.
Survey Properties consists of 3 Tab Sheets: Properties, Chart, and Events. The Properties Tab can
be used for storing any useful survey information, such as surveyor name, network card type, and any
special comments. The Chart Tab is used for displaying the real-time RSSI of all access points, and the
Events tab can be used for checking when the survey was started, stopped, etc.

Marking Exact Access Point Locations

The Site Survey Tool produces a location estimate for each access point that has been audible at some
point during a survey. To display the estimated locations, click the Surface Tab, select Access Point
