Step 1: Collecting Required Tools and Supplies

One OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 or OmniAccess AP 1200R or 1250R per location.
•
OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 and OmniAccess AP 1200R or 1250R Mounting Kits,
factory-supplied with each OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250.
•
Optional OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 and OmniAccess AP 1200R or 1250R Mounting Kits,
factory-orderable.
•
Optional AC-to-DC external power supplies, factory-orderable. Note that this option requires
the power cable to be run through the plenum in a metal conduit to meet safety requirements.
•
Optional external 802.11b/g antennas.
•
Map showing OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 and OmniAccess AP 1200R or 1250R locations, and
mounting and power options.
•
Screwdrivers, drills, and ladder.
•
An assortment of sheet metal and drywall screws and toggle bolts.
•
CAT-5 (or higher) cables to connect the OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 and OmniAccess AP
1200R or 1250R locations and the Alcatel OmniAccess WLAN Switch or other network device.
•
Optional Kensington MicroSaver Security Cable to secure each OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250
and OmniAccess AP 1200R or 1250R.
