Search for APs by (pulldown):
•
All APs: Search for all OmniAccess AP Access Points by radio type, and list them on
AP Template.
•
MAC Address: IP Address of all OmniAccess AP Access Points.
•
AP Name: User-defined of OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 name.
•
Switch: Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or Appliance name.
•
All Foreign APs: Search for Third-Party APs, and list them on
•
Floor Area: ACS Floor Area name.
•
Outdoor Area: ACS Outdoor Area name.

Configure Add Foreign AP

Use CONFIGURE/Access Points and select Add Foreign AP from the Select a command pulldown to
access this page.
Note that the Standalone WPS Alcatel OmniAccess Wireless System described in About the Alcatel
OmniAccess Wireless System in the Alcatel OmniAccess Wireless Product Guide does not support
Third-Party APs.
This page allows you to add a Third-Party (foreign) AP after activating the third-party WLAN (WLAN 17)
in Configure <IPaddr> > WLAN > Add From

IP Address: An IP Address from which this device will accept SNMP packets with the
associated community.
Note:
Addresses. The default value is 0.0.0.0.

Network Mask: IP address network mask.

Configure Add Foreign AP
If the Subnet Mask is set to 0.0.0.0, an IP Address of 0.0.0.0 matches all IP
SNMP Version: v1, or v2c.
Maximum number of times each read/write operation can be attempted.
The amount of time allowed for each read/write operation.
The community string to which this entry grants access. A valid entry is a
case-sensitive alphanumeric string of up to 16 characters. Each row of this
table must contain a unique community name.
