Untested Adapters

Since there are hundreds of WLAN adapters on the market, the Site Survey Tool has not been tested
with them all. Please see the Site Survey Tool Release Notes in Start > Programs > Alcatel > Site
Survey for the list of adapters that might work but have not been tested.
If you find out that some of these adapters work with the Site Survey Tool, please send the adapter
type, driver, and used operating system to support@ekahau.com.

Updating the WLAN Adapter Driver

An old adapter driver is the most common reason for not receiving network data. Always update the
adapter driver before using the Site Survey Tool.
Follow these instructions if you did not install the included drivers during the Site Survey Tool installa-
tion, or want to change the adapter without re-installing the software.
1.
Make sure your adapter works normally and you have completely installed the Site Survey Tool.
