MONITOR/SWITCHES MENU BAR SELECTION

This menu bar selection provides access to the Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or Appliance summary
details. Use the selector area to access the respective Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or Appliance details.
Making this selection from the menu bar displays
Monitor Switches > Search Results
Use MONITOR/Switches to access this page.
The data area of this screen contains a table with the following columns:
•
IP Address: Local network IP Address of the Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or Appliance
Management Interface, described in the Alcatel OmniAccess Wireless Product Guide. Click the
title to toggle from ascending to descending order. Click an IP Address in the list to display
Monitor Switches > <IPaddr> >
•
Switch Name: Click the title to toggle from ascending to descending order.
•
Location: The geographical location (such as a campus or building). Click the title to toggle
from ascending to descending order.
•
Mobility Group Name: Name of the Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or Appliance mobility or WPS
group.
•
Reachability Status: Reachable or Unreachable. Click the title to toggle from ascending to
descending order.
•
Alarm Status: (colored icon). Click the title to toggle from ascending to descending order.

Search for Alcatel OmniAccess Switches and Appliances by (pulldown):
•
IP Address: Local network IP Address of the Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or Appliance
Management Interface, described in the Alcatel OmniAccess Wireless Product Guide.

Switch Name.
•
Networks: Select a Network (All Networks, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx).
•

Monitor Switches > <IPaddr> > Summary
Use MONITOR/Switches and click an IP addresses under IP Address to access this page.
Use MONITOR/Access Points, click a list item under AP Name, click Registered Switch to access
this page.
Use CONFIGURE/Access Points and select a list item under AP Name, then click Registered
Switch to access this page.
This page displays a summary of Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or Appliance parameters with a graphic
displaying the status of the Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or Appliance. The graphic of the front of the
Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or Appliance shows front-panel ports (click a port to go to
