Select the access point(s) from the Browser View that you wish to be treated as your "existing
network". Even if you had more than 10 APs, you can select just a few of them, and see where
the "next one" should be installed.

Select the channel that you would like to use with the access point. Try different channels to
see how the suitability changes. Channels and locations with lower interference and signal
strength are given better suitability. Higher suitability (near 100) is marked with red color (by
default).
The figure below shows how the Access Point Placement Tip displays the most appropriate location(s)
for a new or existing access point.

Access Point Location

The AP Location visualization helps to locate your own APs or unknown or unauthorized "rogue" access
points. Refer to the list of Supported Adapters to see which adapters can detect hidden, possibly unau-
thorized, networks.
1.
Select the networks or single APs that you wish to locate from the Browser View.
2.
Select finer Grid size to calculate more accurate access point location.
3.
Find the APs from the suggested locations.
4.
After finding an AP you may mark its exact location on the map for reporting or documentation
purposes. See
not affect the Access Point Location visualization - or any other visualization.
