Stopping the ACS Software Windows Service

You can stop the ACS Software service at any time.
Note:
Software, the ACS Web Interface sessions will stop functioning.

From the Windows START button, select the Programs menu, and select Alcatel
OmniAccess Control System 2.1/Stop ACS Service.
The stop ACS Software script opens a Stop ACS Service DOS window and halts the ACS
Software service.
You have shut down the ACS Software service. If desired, continue with the
Wireless Product Guide.

Checking the ACS Software Windows Service Status

When ACS Software is installed as a Service, it runs in the background. That is, it has no windows open,
so you cannot directly view its current status. To allow you to check the ACS Software Service status,
Alcatel has provided a convenient ACS Software Status utility.

To activate the ACS Software Status utility, from the Windows START button, select the
Programs menu, and select Alcatel OmniAccess Control System Software 2.1/Check
Server Status.
The Check Server Status script launches the Start ACS Service DOS window, which in turn
launches the ACS Server Status window.
When the ACS Software Service is active, the ACS Server Status window reports that the
