Configure <IPaddr> > Telnet SSH Configuration
Use CONFIGURE/Switches, click an IP address under the IP Address column, then on the left sidebar
menu click Management/Telnet SSH to access this page.
Use this page to modify Telnet SSH accessibility to the Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or Appliance:
•
Template Name: Name of this template.
•
Session Timeout (minutes): This object indicates the number of minutes a Telnet session is
allowed to remain inactive before being logged off. A zero means there will be no timeout. May
be specified as a number from 0 to 160. The factory default is 5.
•
Maximum Sessions: Selectable from a pulldown menus for values of from 0 to 5. This object
indicates the number of simultaneous Telnet sessions allowed. The factory default is 5.
•
Allow New Sessions: Indicates that new Telnet sessions will not be allowed on the DS Port when
set to no. The factory default value is no.
Note:
New Telnet sessions are always allowed on the Service port.
•
Allow New SSH Sessions: Indicates that new Secure Shell Telnet sessions will not be allowed
when set to no. The factory default value is yes.

Save: Data is sent to the Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or Appliance and made to take effect, but
not preserved across a power cycle; these parameters are stored temporarily in volatile RAM.

Use CONFIGURE/Switches, click an IP address under the IP Address column, then on the left
sidebar menu click Management/Syslog to access this page.
This page allows you to disable and enable an Alcatel OmniAccess Switch or Appliance syslog:
•
Template Name: User-defined name of this template.
•
Syslog Enabled: checkbox.
