OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 Ceiling-Mount Bezel Kit
This Guide explains how to physically install an OAW-1200BG, OAW-1200ABG, OAW-1200BGE,
OAW-1200ABGE OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 (OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250) or an OAW-1200ABGR
OmniAccess AP 1200R or 1250R (OmniAccess AP 1200R or 1250R) using the optional Ceiling-Mount
Bezel Kit (Bezel Kit).
Note:
external antenna connectors, but the connectors cannot be used.
When you are installing an OAW-1200BG or OAW-1200ABG OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 with internal
802.11a and 802.11b/g antennas, please refer to the Internal-Antenna OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250

When you are installing an OAW-1200BGE or OAW-1200ABGE OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 or an
OAW-1200ABGR OmniAccess AP 1200R or 1250R (OmniAccess AP 1200R or 1250R) with external
802.11a and 802.11b/g antenna connectors, please refer to the External-Antenna OmniAccess AP 1200
or 1250 Quick Installation Guide.
ATTENTION!
Special Considerations
While OmniAccess AP Access Points have been engineered for easy installation, the following guidelines
are very important to the end users:
•
PLACE OmniAccess AP Access Points NO MORE THAN 140 FEET APART FROM EACH OTHER.
Placing OmniAccess AP Access Points further apart almost always results in poor coverage.
•
DO NOT MOUNT OmniAccess AP Access Points ON BUILDING PERIMETER WALLS UNLESS THE
OPERATOR WANTS TO PROVIDE COVERAGE OUTSIDE THE BUILDING.
•
MAKE SURE that OmniAccess AP Access Points using the Ceiling-Mount Bezel kit are powered
using Power Over Ethernet (POE) to comply with safety regulations.
•
MAKE SURE THAT OmniAccess AP Access Points ARE
INSTALLED VERTICALLY. When OmniAccess AP Access Points
are installed vertically, this creates the largest coverage area
per OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250. Hanging OmniAccess AP
Access Points from the ceiling provides the best RF coverage.
