Configure 802.11a Parameters > New Template
Use CONFIGURE/Templates, from the left sidebar menu select 802.11a/Parameters, then select
Add Template to access this page.
Note that the Standalone WPS Alcatel OmniAccess Wireless System described in About the Alcatel
OmniAccess Wireless System in the Alcatel OmniAccess Wireless Product Guide does not support this
command.
This page allows you to add a new template for a 802.11a parameters.
General
Policy Name: Security policy in force.
No of Switches Applied To: Number of Alcatel OmniAccess Switches and Appliances to which
this template is applied (read only).
802.11a Network Status: Whether the 802.11a Alcatel OmniAccess Wireless System is enabled
or disabled (Enable checkbox).
Beacon Period: The rate at which the SSID is broadcast by the OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250,
from 100 to 600 milliseconds.
Note that the Standalone WPS Alcatel OmniAccess Wireless System described in About the
Alcatel OmniAccess Wireless System in the Alcatel OmniAccess Wireless Product Guide does not
support beacon periods.
802.11a Power Status
Dynamic Assignment: Dynamic transmit power assignment has three modes:

Automatic - The transmit power will be periodically updated for all OmniAccess AP
Access Points that permit this operation.

On Demand - Transmit power is updated when the Assign Now button is selected.

Disabled - No dynamic transmit power assignments occur and value are set to their
global default. Default is Automatic.
Tx Level OmniAccess AP 1200 or 1250 transmit power level (1 = Maximum power allowed per
Country Code setting, 2 = 50% power, 3 = 25% power, 4 = 12.5% power, and 5 = 6.25%
power). Note that the power levels and available channels are defined by the Country Code
Setting, and are regulated on a country by country basis. Refer to Supported Regulatory
Domains in the Alcatel OmniAccess Wireless Product Guide for the maximum Transmit Power
Levels for each country.
802.11a Channel Status
Assignment Mode: Dynamic channel assignment has three modes:
