instance parameters Settings that control the appearance or behavior of an individual element in a project.
The instance parameters and type parameters of an element combine to establish its element properties.
Instance parameters are also called instance properties.

insulation Material that has insulating properties designed to help a building retain heat in winter and
prevent heat gain in summer. In Revit Architecture, you use a detail component to represent insulation in
2D drawings.

interoperability The ability of Revit Architecture to interact with other software applications. Examples of
interoperability include importing files from other applications into a Revit project, and exporting a Revit
project to a file format that can be used by other applications.
