model element An element in a building model that represents actual 3D geometry. For example, walls,
windows, doors, and roofs are model elements.

For example, the following image shows only model elements. It does not include annotation elements
(such as dimensions or text notes) or datum elements (such as grid lines or levels). See

model graphics style A method of displaying model elements in views. For example, you can choose to
display a model using wireframe, hidden lines, shading, or shading with edges.
You can specify the model graphics style for a view using the View Control Bar at the bottom of the Revit
window. For more information, see

on page 201.
