Release the airbag activation prevention mechanism built in the
instrument panel wire connector on the airbag sensor assembly

CHECK:
Assembly
Measure the resistance between D+ and D− of the instrument
panel wire connector on the spiral cable side.
OK:

− SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM
Disconnect the spiral cable connector from the instrument
panel wire.
Release the airbag activation prevention mechanism built
in the spiral cable connector on the airbag sensor assem-
bly side (See page DI−884).
Resistance: 1 MΩ or Higher
NG Replace spiral cable.
Resistance: 1 MΩ or Higher
NG Repair or replace instrument panel wire.
