20.3 Limitations
There is no shadow register for the synchronization of configuration parameters during the vertical
blanking period. To avoid visible artifacts during reconfiguration, we recommend you to find a trigger
point to modify the configuration register during the vertical blanking by software.
20.4 Initialization procedure
Setup e.g. for 8 bit panel
• Select the dither_mode
• Select dither_format = 0x00
• enable dithering by setting dither_bypass = 0
If the output resolution is less than 8 bit, it's strongly recommended to enable the Dither Unit to obtain
a better visual display.
