By sending a ping to a remote host (e.g. computer, PBX) in the network, you
can check whether this host is reachable and how long the routing takes
(there and back).

External call channel assignment

Proceed as follows:
Using the Configuration Manager (
channel assignment)
The external call channel assignment shows the status of the call channels
(free, in use, not available), the emergency call ability and whether a GSM
gateway is connected to the external port.
Note:
When you open the page it first shows the status, which is automatically
updated every 30 seconds.
The status of a call channel is indicated by a coloured dot.
Call channel is being used.
Call channel is available.
Call channel has emergency call ability.
Call channel is not available.
Call channel does not have emergency call ability.
