6.22.3 Configuring the NQA MTrace Test

This part describes how to set parameters for the MTrace test for the RPF path from the multicast
source to the destination host.
Context
Do as follows on the switch with the MTrace test instance being created:
Procedure
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Step 2 Run:
nqa test-instance admin-name test-name
The test instance view is displayed.
Step 3 Run:
mtrace-source-address ipv4 ip-address
The address of the multicast source is specified.
Step 4 Run:
destination-address ipv4 ip-address
The IP address of the destination host is configured.
Step 5 (Optional)The VPN instance is specified.
vpn-instance vpn-instance-name
Step 6 Run:
quit
Exit from the NQA test instance view.

This part describes how to set optional MTrace test parameters according to the network
operating status.
Context
Do as follows on the switch with the MTrace test being configured:

The querier must meet either of the following conditions:
l Connected to the destination host
l Pinging through the destination host or the last-hop switch
