11.3.4 Checking the Configuration

Prerequisites
The sFlow configuration in the interface view is complete.

5. (Optional) Run:
sflow flow-sampling rate rate
The interface is configured to sample packets based on the sampling ratio.
By default, the flow sampling ratio on an interface is 1/2048.
6. (Optional) Run:
sflow flow-sampling max-header length
The maximum bytes of data that can be copied from a sampled packet is set. The
copied data starts from the original packet header.
By default, a maximum of 128 bytes of data can be copied from a sampled packet.
Configure counter sampling.
1. Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
2. Run:
interface interface-type interface-number
The interface view is displayed.
3. Run:
sflow counter-sampling collector { collector-id
The sFlow collector used to receive counter sampling data is specified.
By default, no target sFlow collector is specified.
When you run the sflow counter-sampling collector command to specify the first
target sFlow collector on an interface, counter sampling is enabled on the interface by
default. When you run the undo sflow counter-sampling collector command to
delete the last target sFlow collector on an interface, counter sampling is disabled on
the interface by default.
4. (Optional) Run:
sflow counter-sampling interval interval
The counter sampling interval is set.
By default, the counter sampling interval on an interface is 10s.
NOTE
l You can configure counter sampling on the .
l Flow sampling and counter sampling can only be used on Layer 2 physical interfaces,
including member interfaces of an Eth-Trunk.
