7.2 NetStream Features Supported by the S9300&S9300E
This section describes the NetStream features supported by the S9300&S9300E.
Packet Sampling Types
At present, the S9300&S9300E supports only the fixed-packets sampling.
The fixed-packets sampling indicates that the S9300&S9300E samples packets at an interval of
fixed number of packets.
Versions of Original Traffic and Aggregation Traffic
At present, the S9300&S9300E supports the statistics about the original traffic, aggregation
traffic and Flexible traffic.

Statistics Aggregation
The S9300&S9300E supports the aggregation based on as, as-tos, protocol-port, protocol-
port-tos, source-prefix, source-prefix-tos, destination-prefix, destination-prefix-tos,
prefix, and prefix-tos.
Aging Types
The S9300&S9300E supports the following aging types:

Flexible NetStream
Flexible NetStream provides users with a flexible way to collect NetStream statistics. You can
collect traffic statistics based on the protocol type, DSCP field, source IP address, destination
IP address, source port number, destination port number, or traffic label as required. The
S9300&S9300E can send the traffic statistics on an interface to the NSC.
Issue 01 (2012-03-15)
The version of the exported packets of the original traffic is V5 or V9. By default, the
version of exported IPv4 statistics packets is V5 and the version of exported IPv6 statistics
packets is V9.
The version of the exported packets of the aggregation traffic is V8 or V9. The default
version is V8.
The version of the exported packets of the Flexible traffic is V9.
Aging depending on the inactive time of the original traffic
After the inactive aging time is set, the traffic is aged if the S9300&S9300E does not receive
any packet of the traffic in a certain period. Then the statistics collection is ended and the
result is sent to the NSC.
Aging depending on the FIN flag in the TCP streams
If the traffic received by the S9300&S9300E contains the FIN flag of TCP packets, the
traffic is aged. Then the statistics collection is ended and the result is sent to the NSC.
Aging based on counter overflow
NOTE
The traffic label-based statistics function is only applied to IPv6 traffic.
