You can configure only one IPv4 address and one IPv6 address for an sFlow agent in the system.
If an sFlow agent is configured with an IPv4 address and an IPv6 address, the sFlow agent uses
the source address in sFlow packets based on the address type of the target sFlow collector.

11.3.3 Configuring an sFlow Sampling Mode

This section describes how to configure an sFlow sampling mode.
Context
An sFlow agent provides two sampling modes: flow sampling and counter sampling.

Flow sampling and counter sampling are independent of each other. Flow sampling obtains
information about flows of a specified service, whereas counter sampling obtains traffic statistics
on an interface. It is recommended that you use both the two sampling modes.
Procedure

Flow sampling is based on data packets. An sFlow agent copies packets in one direction
or both directions on an interface based on the sampling ratio, parses the packets, and
encapsulates packets and parsing result into sFlow packets. Then the sFlow agent sends the
sFlow packets to an sFlow collector.
Counter sampling is based on time. An sFlow agent periodically collects traffic statistics,
processor statistics, and memory usage on an interface, encapsulates collected information
in sFlow packets, and sends the sFlow packets to an sFlow collector..
Configure flow sampling.
1. Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
2. Run:
interface interface-type interface-number
The interface view is displayed.
3. Run:
sflow flow-sampling collector { collector-id
The target sFlow collector used to receive flow sampling data is specified.
By default, no target sFlow collector is specified.
When you run the sflow flow-sampling collector command to specify the first target
sFlow collector on an interface, flow sampling is enabled on the interface by default.
When you run the undo sflow flow-sampling collector command to delete the last
target sFlow collector on an interface, flow sampling is disabled on the interface by
default.
4. (Optional) Run:
sflow flow-sampling { inbound | outbound }
Flow sampling is configured in a specified direction on the interface.
By default, flow sampling is enabled in both directions on an interface.
