1.2.7 Setting the Processing Method for Specific Packets

Follow these steps to set the packet processing method of a switch when it receives a
packet whose destination MAC address is the bridge MAC address of the switch:
Enter system view
Enable the switch to pass
the packet whose
destination MAC address is
the bridge MAC address of
the switch to the CPU for
processing
Disable the switch from
passing the packet whose
destination MAC address is
the bridge MAC address of
the switch to the CPU for
processing

1.3 Displaying MAC Address Configuration

Display information about the
MAC address table
Display the aging time of the
dynamic MAC address entries
in the MAC address table
1.4 Configuration Example
1.4.1 Network Requirements
Log into the switch through the console port and enable address table
configuration.
Set the aging time of dynamic MAC address entries to 500 seconds.
Add a static MAC address entry 000f-e235-dc71 for port Ethernet 2/0/2 (assuming
that the port belongs to VLAN 1).
