Refitting
6. Push the filter back into position.
7. Refit the sump and gasket.
8. Refit the bolts and star washers and tighten to a
torque of 6 Ibf ft (0'8 kgf m).
Removing
1. Remove the six bolts and star washers holding the
sump on.
2. Remove the sump.
3. Remove the sump gasket.
4. Pull the filter out.
S. Clean the filter in either paraffin or petrol.
Removing
1. Remove the sump and suction filter.
2. Remove the pressure filter base plug (largest plug),
using tool L3S4; the filter element will come away
with the plug.
3. Remove the aluminium washer which locates on the
shoulder in the [liter bore.
4. Remove foreign matter and wash the element in
petrol or paraffin.
S. Renew the aluminium washer if there are any signs of
damage or scoring.
6. Refit the filter and pressure filter base plug, using
tool L3S4.
7. Tighten up until the plug is flush with the base, a
torque loading of 16 Ibf ft (2'2 kgf m).
