Check the closure of all the butterflies with a 0-002
in. (0-05 mm) feeler gauge. The feeler gauge should
not pass between the butterfly plate and the bore.
8.
Adjust the link rod to obtain a clearance of 0·020 -
0-030 in. (0'5 - 0'75 mm) between the nylon roller
on the primary lever and the link rod lever.
9.
Start the engine and adjust the air bleed valve to
achieve an idling speed of 750 - 800 r.p.m. Screwing
in the valve increase the speed.
10.
Open the fast idle cam and check the engine speed. If
necessary slacken the locknut and adjust the contact
screw to achieve a fast idle speed of 1500 - 1800
r.p.m.

Refit the air intake manifold 19.70.01
