Reference
Check all connections from the system to the laser as follows:
l

Select the appropriate port for your imaging session (Signal 680-970 nm,
l
Idler 1200-2000 nm).
Select the appropriate Vevo Fiber Jacket and Vevo Optical fiber for your
l
transducer.
Ensure the transducer fiber optic ferrule is pushed into the port as far as it
l
can and that the lever lock is down.
Adjust the PA Gain and TGC sliders.
l
PA-Mode (Oxy-Hemo) is not available when using the Idler (1200-2000 nm)
l
laser port.
Ensure the ECG cable is connected to the physiological m onitoring and
l
control system, and the keyed end of the cable i s connected to the Vevo cart.
Ensure that the ECG monitor is producing a strong, consistent signal.
l
Ensure that all of the animal's limbs are secured to the ECG p ads on animal
l
platform.
Ensure that no gel has leaked onto any of the contacts on the a nimal
l
platform.
Ensure that there is no 50/60 Hz noise source near the animal p latform (for
l
example a lamp or a power cable).
