Interface Overview
The Password Rules menu contains the following rules and settings:
Character rule check boxes (select checkboxes accordingly)

At least one numeric value
o
At least one lowercase character
o
At least one uppercase character
o
At least one special character
o
Minimum length: The minimum character length of the password.
l
Maximum length: The maximum character length of the password.
l
Minimum time before password can be changed (mins)
l
Enforce password history count: The number of previous passwords that are stored on the
l
system. Use this feature to prevent users from re-using recent passwords. Set to 0 to allow users to
reuse their existing password.
Password expires in (days): The number of days the password is usable before it must be
l
changed. Set to 0 to disable password expiry.
Account lock-out threshold (unsuccessful attempts): The number of unsuccessful login
l
attempts that are allowed by the system before the system temporarily locks the user from logging in.
This feature is use to deter users from brute-forcing the password.
Account lock-out duration (mins): The amount of time the user is locked from logging in after too
l
many failed login attempts. Set to 0 to disable this feature.
