General
THIS EQUIPMENT IS NOT APPROVED FOR USE ON HUMANS. T he Vevo F2 Imaging System
l
has been designed and tested for use on laboratory r esearch animals. This equipment must not be
used on any living human being.
Do not use the system if it exhibits erratic or inconsistent behavior. Such behavior may indicate a
l
system failure.
Where available, always use the lowest power settings necessary to o btain diagnostically
l
acceptable images.
High levels of transmitted ultrasound energy can damage tissue. Never tamper with or a lter the Vevo
F2 Imaging System in any way to increase the acoustic power level.
Use ONLY compatible transducers with the Vevo F2 Imaging System. U sing other transducers may
l
affect safety and system performance.
Do not modify the Vevo F2 Imaging System. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by
l
FUJIFILM VisualSonics c ould void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
Physical Hazards
FUJIFILM VisualSonics recommends that the Vevo F2 Imaging System be pushed b y one person
l
from behind and guided by another person in front, using the handles. P lease use caution when
going up or down ramps. Keep the system upright during t ransport.
Ensure that the castors are locked when the Vevo F2 Imaging System is not being t ransported.
Never lift the system using the handles
Watch out for pinching from the adjustable monitors. Both the control panel and image display
l
monitors can be adjusted. When moving the system or adjusting these monitors, take care near
these moving parts to ensure safety.
The Vevo F2 Imaging System is both delicate and heavy.
l
Careless moving and rough handling can damage the system and cause injury to others. Never use
the system if there is d amage to the cart, cables or accessories.
Do not position the cart and its accessories in a way that makes it d ifficult to disconnect the plug from
the socket.
