The EKV/PA EKV Acquisition Setup panel appears. Set the following options as desired:
Acquisition Type
o
Quick: Adjusts settings to produce an EKV image quickly.
l
Standard: Adjusts settings to produce a good quality EKV image at default speed.
l
Presentation: Adjusts settings to produce a high-quality EKV image.
l
Process Style
o
Sharp: Emphasizes quality of detail in each frame.
l
Standard: Emphasizes smoothness of movement through the clip.
l
Smooth: Maximizes smoothness of movement throughout the clip.

6. Tap Scan. The p anel changes to the EKV Progress (or PA EKV Progress) panel and a progress bar
tracks the c ompletion of the scan.

When the scan is done, the system completes the process of s ynthesizing all the images of the heart cycles
into one heart cycle clip. During this process, a p rogress bar appears in the lower-left corner of the image
display, as well as on the control panel.
Once the image processing is completed the system displays the EKV-averaged one-heart-cycle clip, in
review mode.
If you are satisfied with the clip, store your data using Save Clip.
EKV Mode Image Review
EKV Mode and PA EKV Mode provides two image post-processing tools that help you refine your data:
EKV processing quality
l
EKV motion correction settings
l
Access these options through the EKV tab while reviewing an EKV or PA EKV image.
Note: The EKV tab is not available if the "Save EKV/4D data for post-processing"
in the Clip Settings menu is not selected.
