Start an Infusion
You can start an infusion in several different ways.
Normal infusion (uses the settings specified in the Infusion Settings menu): Tap Infusion Pump,

then tap Start Infusion
Quick Infusion (uses the maximum infusion or withdraw rate): Tap Infusion Pump, then tap and
l
hold Quick Infuse.
Start the Infusion Pump manually.
l
Once an infusion is performed, the following changes occur on the Vevo F2 system:
On the Mode Settings panel of the Image Display, the following information about the infusion
l
appears:
Mode
o
Final Volume
o
Final Time
o
Frame markers are automatically added to the image to mark the start and end times of the infusion.

The infusion pump parameters (Mode, Final Volume and Final Time) are calculated by adding the total time
or volume over all infusions performed during a scan.
Note:
The frame marker values for the same final volume/time parameters may
not match the totals if more than one infusion/withdraw was performed in a
session, if the target infusion was not reached (if it was interrupted in some way),
or if the infusion/withdraw was performed across two different scanning sessions.
Stop an Infusion
You can stop an infusion in several different ways.
For infusions that were started by tapping Start Infusion, tap Stop Infusion

For infusions that were started by tapping Quick Infuse or Quick Withdraw (quick infusions),
l
release the button you held to start the quick infusion.
Allow the infusion to complete.
l
Stop the Infusion Pump manually.

Infusion Settings
The Infusion Settings menu is used to control the specific properties of the Vevo Infusion Pump.
To access this menu, tap Infusion Pump, then tap Infusion Settings.
If this menu is opened during a scan, scanning will continue in the background.
