CALibration Subsystem

CALibration Subsystem
The CALibration command subsystem is used to zero and calibrate the power
meter. It is also used to set the reference calibration factor for the power sensor
which is being used.
The numeric suffix of the CALibration command refers to a specific channel:
– CALibration1 represents Channel A
– CALibration2 represent Channel B
This command does not apply to the single channel N1911A power meter and
results in the error "Header suffix out of range."
Zeroing and calibration of the power meter is recommended:
– When a 5
– When you change the power sensor
– Every 24 hours
– Prior to measuring low level signals. For example, 10 dB above the lowest
The following CALibration commands are overlapped commands:
– CAL:ALL
– CAL:AUTO
– CAL:ZERO:AUTO
An overlapped command allows the instrument to continue parsing and executing
subsequent commands while it is still executing.
