ETH-CFM capabilities may be deployed in many different Ethernet service architectures. The
Ethernet based SAPs and SDP bindings provide the endpoint on which the management points
may be created. The basic functions can be used in different services, VPLS and Epipe . The ETH-
CFM functionality is also applicable to broadband access networks. Two models of broadband
access are shown below to illustrate how ETH-CFM could be deployed in these cases.
