To specify attributes for the current terminal session, use the terminal exec command in EXEC mode.

Usage Guidelines
To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes the proper
task IDs.
Use the terminal exec prompt timestamp command to show the timestamp display after each command
is entered. Use the terminal exec prompt no-timestamp command to disable the timestamp display.
The terminal commands are active for the current terminal session only. To apply a setting to all

Examples
The following example shows how to enable the timestamp prompt. When enabled, the date and time are
displayed after each command. In this example, the show version command is entered, and the date and
time is displayed.
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router# terminal exec prompt timestamp
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router# show version
