snmp-server traps syslog
To enable Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) notifications of Cisco-syslog-MIB error
messages, use the snmp-server traps syslog command in global configuration mode. To disable these
types of notifications, use the no form of this command.
Syntax Description
This command has no arguments or keywords.
Defaults
SNMP notifications are disabled by default.

Usage Guidelines
To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes the proper
task IDs.

The following example shows how to enable Cisco-syslog-MIB error message notifications to the host
at the address myhost.cisco.com, using the community string defined as public:
