Examples
The following example shows how to use the end command to end a configuration session. Changes
stored in the target configuration are committed by answering yes.
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router# configure
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config)# interface pos 0/2/0/0
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config-if)# ipv4 address 1.1.1.1 255.0.0.0
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config-if)# end
Uncommitted changes found, commit them before exiting(yes/no/cancel)? [cancel]: yes
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router#

Description
Ends a configuration session without saving changes to the target
configuration.
Merges the target configuration to the running configuration.
Discards changes to the target configuration that have not yet been
committed, without exiting the configuration session.
Terminates a session and returns the router to EXEC mode from any
configuration mode.
Exits from the current configuration mode to the next higher command
mode or logs out of the terminal session.
Displays the contents of the target configuration.
