configuration commit auto-save
To enable automatic saving of the running configuration to a specified file on every commit, use the
configuration commit auto-save command in global configuration mode. To disable automatic saving
of the running configuration to a specified file on every commit, use the no form of the command.
Caution
Saving the running configuration to a file is CPU intensive.

Usage Guidelines
To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes the proper
task IDs.
The configuration commit auto-save command configures the system to save the running configuration
to the specified file and location every time a commit command is run. Alternatively, you can save the
configuration on a one-time basis by specifying the save-running keyword when you run the commit
command.

The following example shows how to configure the system to save the running configuration to the file
disk0:/usr whenever the commit command is used:
