To populate the target configuration with the contents of a previously saved configuration file, use the
load command in global configuration or administration configuration mode.
Syntax Description
device:directory-path
Defaults
If the full path of the file is not specified, the present working directory is used.

Usage Guidelines
To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes the proper
task IDs.
Use the
configuration. When loading a file, you must specify the device, directory path, and filename of the
configuration file.
Use the
load command, and use the commit command with the replace keyword to have the loaded
configuration become the active (running) configuration.

errors that occurred during the last load operation.

Examples
The following example shows how to load a target configuration file into the current configuration
session. The current configuration session is then populated with the contents of the file.
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router# configure
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config)# load disk1:myconfig.cfg

the target configuration.
