clear line vty
To clear a virtual terminal line (vty) to an idle state, use the clear line vty command in EXEC mode.

Usage Guidelines
To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes the proper
task IDs.
Use the show users command to determine the origin of the connection and which lines to clear. When
a line is cleared to an idle state, the user on the other end of the connection receives notice that the
connection was closed by a foreign host.
