To start, terminate, or restart a process, use the process command in administration EXEC mode.

Usage Guidelines
To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes the proper
task IDs.
Under normal circumstances, processes are started and restarted automatically by the operating system
as required. If a process crashes, it is automatically restarted.
Use this command to manually stop, start, or restart individual processes.
Manually stopping or restarting a process can seriously impact the operation of a router. Use these

process {blocked | crash | restart | shutdown | start} {executable-name | job-id} {location
{node-id | all}}
Collects debug information. The node is restarted if the mandatory reboot flag is
set.
Crashes a process.
Restarts a process.
Stops a process. The process is not restarted (even if considered "mandatory").
Starts a process.
(Optional) Executable name of the process to be started, terminated, or restarted.
Supplying an executable name for the executable-name argument performs the
action for all the simultaneously running instances of the process, if applicable.
(Optional) Job ID of the process instance to be started, terminated, or restarted.
Supplying a job ID for the job-id argument performs the action for only the
process instance associated with the job ID.
(Optional) Starts, terminates, or restarts a process on the designated node. The
node-id argument is entered in the rack/slot/module notation.
(Optional) Starts, terminates, or restarts a process on all nodes.

This command was introduced on the Cisco ASR 14000 Series Router.
