affinity program
To set the affinity of a placeable program (process) to or from another program, use the affinity program
command in placement program configuration mode. To remove the affinity of a program, use the no
form of this command.

Specifying an affinity value of default is equivalent to specifying the attract strength argument to be
200.

Usage Guidelines
To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes the proper
task IDs.
The affinity program command is used to collocate processes or keep them apart. You would want to
use this command because you have learned that certain processes perform better when they are running
together on the same node (attract)—or on different nodes, apart from each other (repulse).
