To learn if this user has been added to the configuration, issue the show snmp user command.

If the localized Message Digest 5 (MD5) or Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA) digest is known, specify that

string instead of the plain-text password. The digest should be formatted as AA:BB:CC:DD where AA,

BB, CC, and DD are hexadecimal values. The digest should also be exactly 16 octets long.

The following example shows how to specify the command with a digest name of

00:11:22:33:44:55:66:77:88:99:AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF:

RP/0/RP0/CPU0:Router(config)# snmp-server user user2 group2 v3 auth md5 encrypted

00:11:22:33:44:55:66:77:88:99:AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF
