11 Install the Tray Stopper and secure with the screw (Figure 4.2.6p).
12 Install the flexible cable clamp to the rear of the assembly.
13 Reinstall the inboard bearing, the E-ring, then the outboard bearing for the Spring Support
Assembly (Figure 4.2.6q).
14 Reinstall the Spring Support Assembly and bracket and secure with the screw (Figure 4.2.6q).
15 Do NOT reinstall the Retard Assembly Spring at this time.
16 Carefully install the new assembly in the printer. Ensure that the harnesses are not pinched and
are routed correctly.
17 Remove all paper from the Tray 1 cavity.
18 Ensure that all locating pins are properly mated and that the new assembly is correctly aligned in
the printer
19 Install the two screws in the front and the three screws in the back to secure the Retard
Assembly.
20 Install the Left Docking Bracket (Figure 4.2.6r).
21 Install the Retard Assembly Spring (Figure 4.2.6s).
