19 Remove the screw that secures the Left Docking Bracket. Remove the bracket (Figure 4.2.6c).
20 Remove the Retard Assembly Spring (Figure 4.2.6e).
21 Remove the screw that secures the Inner Left Cover (Figure 4.2.6f). Remove the cover.
NOTE: There are two plastic alignment pins on the top of the Retard Assembly and two locating
receptors on the bottom. The left end printer must be lifted to allow clearance for removal and
replacement.
22 Carefully lift the upper printer assembly (if working alone, insert an additional 1/4" to 3/8" of paper
on top of the two reams of paper to provide clearance).
23 Remove the Retard Assembly (Figure 4.2.6g).
