Sets the encoding scheme of the ifDescr and ifName objects. The no version returns the
encoding method to the proprietary encoding scheme.
common—Sets the encoding scheme to the conventional industry method, and provides
compatibility with software that uses the industry encoding scheme
legacy—Sets the encoding scheme for legacy E Series routers
proprietary—Sets the encoding scheme to a method that is proprietary to the E Series
router
