ESRP Commands

configure esrp timer hello

configure esrp <esrpDomain> timer hello <seconds>
Description
Configures the ESRP hello timer value.
Syntax Description
esrpDomain
seconds
Default
The default hello timer is 2 seconds.
Usage Guidelines
The timer specifies the interval, in seconds, for exchanging keep-alive packets between the ESRP
switches for this ESRP domain. A lower value specifies a more frequent exchange of keep-alive
messages, resulting in the faster detection of a failover condition. The timer setting must be configured
identically for the ESRP domain across all participating switches. To see the hello settings, use the
command.
esrp {<name>}
The
range is 1 to 255.

Example
The following command configures the ESRP hello timer to 4 seconds for the ESRP domain esrp1:
configure esrp esrp1 timer hello 4

This command was first available in ExtremeWare XOS 11.0.
