Inspecting oil level, axis-1 gearbox (suspended robot)
Use this procedure to inspect the oil level in the axis-1 gearbox.
If the robot has the earlier design of the frame, and the robot is filled with an
amount of oil suited for an inverted position, the oil level of the axis-1 gearbox
will be above the oil plug hole when the robot is standing on the floor, which will
result in oil leakage if the plug is opened while robot stands on the floor! The oil
level of axis-1 gearbox can therefore only be inspected when the robot is mounted
in an inverted position!

10 mm ± 3 mm below the lower edge
of the oil plug inspection hole.
Valid for serial numbers up to -100999 and
-500999:
Measure the oil level at the oil plug hole.
Required oil level:
35 mm ± 3 mm below the surface for
the motor flange.
Extra information for the earlier design of
the frame:
The oil level shall only just start to be ob-
