Parameter Description
password Password string. Range: 8-64 characters.
encrypted Encrypted password you entered, copied from another switch configuration. The encrypted
password should be 128 characters long because the assumption is that this password is already
encrypted with AES.
Command example:
(NETGEAR Switch) #enable password testtest
(NETGEAR Switch) #enable password

Use this command to enforce a minimum password length for local users. The value also
applies to the enable password. The length argument is a number in the range 8–64.
