5.4.4 Configuring static neighbor entries

To resolute the IPv6 address of a neighbor into the data link layer address, you can use the NS
message and NA message, or manually configure static neighbor entries.

Configure times of sending NS messages for detecting duplicated addresses for the
ISCOM2600G-HI series switch as below.

When the ISCOM2600G-HI series switch obtains an IPv6 address, it uses the
duplicated address detection function to determine whether the IPv6 address is
already used by another device. After sending NS messages for a specified times
and receiving no response, it determines that the IPv6 address is not duplicated and
thus can be used.
Connect interfaces.
Configure physical parameters to make interfaces Up at the physical layer.
Configure the IPv6 address of the Layer 3 interface.
