Use 802.1d to specify that the switch transmits ST BPDUs rather than MST BPDUs (IEEE
802.1d functionality supported).

supported).

Use 802.1w to specify that the switch transmits RST BPDUs rather than MST BPDUs (IEEE
802.1w functionality supported).
